Good lord. I stopped peeling roma tomatoes when I realized that instead of eager little hookers (hehehehe) they were peeling in bits like strippers waiting for another twenty before they exposed more flesh. I admire (and am secretly appalled by) your dedication.
When the beloved complains that the skins roll up in the sauce and are intrusive much the way a bay leaf is, I tell her that all the fibre is in the skins and it's good for her. Or does she want to get colon cancer? Hmmm? It doesn't keep her from complaining but I maintain the moral highground and spend much less time in the kitchen. *g*
