Aaarrrrggghhhh!

I have spent six *hours* tussling with various cables, bits of hardware, chunks of software - count 'em, *six* *hours* - in a futile attempt to back up video tapes to dvd.

I have got precisely *nowhere* despite trying every single combination I can think of, googling like an idiot for some comprehensible information which I don't have to pay for, emailing the odd geek board, you name it.

I hate tech :-( I especially hate it when it gets the better of me :-(((
