Love the slow simmer, love seeing them through each other's eyes. Jack's living space sounds really beautiful; lighter and more contemporary and more airy/open than his last place, not unlike this Jack himself, but still with the airplanes and the hockey stick -- touches of the old, known Jack in a new context. That and Daniel-in-the-library (a traveling Daniel, no less; still on the move, still not settled) set the scene really well.
