Loved this so. much. Loved the epilogue in particular, that the old guy was not going to suddenly change every priority overnight and fight for Daniel, but he was still protective, and wanted to know that he could've made Daniel happy, maybe. The fact that the Jacks came to an understanding at the end was so bittersweet.

Also loved the understanding of Jack and Daniel reading each other. The tactical retreats, the give and take in bed... the heel in the butt and the movement from the bottom, wanting to set the pace come to mind. I love realism in sex, makes it one of those details that makes it that much more real, that Daniel would be communicative about what he wanted, when he wanted it. Fantastic.
