Seriously though, for a moment - I can't even claim that. I've just been incredibly lucky that some incredibly generous people have been kind enough to either give me their creations or allow me to use them :-)
Next to the folks you name, though, and some others on my flist, I feel like such an amateur in the icon-making department! :D
I hear what you're saying - boy, do I ever! It would be lovely to get to the level of feeling at least 'proficient' (strictly from my pov - although it doesn't stop it being a lot of fun trying to get there even if it's frustrating at times ).
