I've become more willing to design my own socks--or at least think of doing it! I have some really great lace-weight yarn I got really cheap at a thrift store and I'm planning on designing my own shawl to use it up. I kind of am starting to look at knitting like cooking--using recipes-know the basics and then add your own twist to things.
