That's great, if you have the confidence to start trying things out like that and cooking, I guess, is a good analogy :-) So, are you doing this with stitch patterns, or with colour, or both?
Someone who's had a huge influence on me in knitting and needlepoint is Kaffe Fassett. I love his confidence with colour. But while I'm at the point of going off into flights of fancy with needlepoint, I've never really thought about doing it with knitting. Maybe now's the time to start!
