1. Which fandoms have you written or read fanfic in?
Written in SG1. Read in SG1, Alias Smith and Jones, Star Trek: TOS, Miami Vice, B7, B5, Man from Uncle, Sentinel -- yeesh, I obviously spend far too much time at the pc
2. Which was the first episode of SG-1 that you saw?
Children of the Gods. I didn't like it *g*. Caught the programme again somewhere in the middle of s3 and did a complete U-turn, then caught up from the beginning via Sky's daily dose regimen ;-)
3. If I visited your city, what things should I go and see first?
Me? *g*
Um. Edinburgh is tourist heaven, so it depends on your interests. Come during the Festival and dive right in
4. What is the most moving music you've heard?
Tricky one - there're so many bits of music that move me. The one I can most *vividly* remember being moved by is Rachmaninov's second piano concerto, the second movement. I was listening it at the same time as reading LOTR when I was about 15 and had one of those beautiful moments of synchronicity when the music and words on the page fit *perfectly* together.
5. Recommend three books to me.
"The Gormenghast Trilogy" by Mervyn Peake. Some of the greatest characters I've ever read - Steerpike is *terrific*.
"The Merlin Trilogy" by Mary Stewart. One of those books you pick up, read a couple of lines, and bam! You're right there, in Dark Age Britain. And it's plausible too.
Okay, this is technically cheating as it's actually six, not two - but even though the parts can stand alone, together, they're better :-) And hey! Never say you don't get value for money *g*
"Cocksure" by Bob Vickery. No apologies for reccing gay porn *g*. Although I think the appeal of this lies in that it's very close to slash, ie doesn't concentrate so much on the mechanics of the sex but conveys the emotions behind it too. I like 'em, anyway :-)
How to pass it on:
1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. Include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.
