Lest anyone think I'm the only 'deviant' (#1 daughter's term - ::sigh:: how the hell did I manage to raise such prudish children?) in the miniatures world - here's proof positive that I'm not :-)

(Anonymous) 2007-06-27 09:43 am (UTC)(link)Those miniatures are incredible. The work involved must be a little like the micropaintings you get on pinheads and such. I think it was on Blue Peter or somewhere similar, but the guy was saying he has to actually paint between heartbeats to be still and accurate enough. I'm in awe. And way too much of a clumsy clod to ever attempt anything like that.
As for the kids, they always rebel, eh? I think Riv will either end up a Rabbi's wife with 12 kids, or become one of your lot and join a convent!
Rochel on the other hand, wants to be Avril Lavigne *g*

Painting between *heartbeats*? Crikey moses! I'm right there with ya on the clumsy thing :-( But I love these little park scenes, I think they're quite the most entertaining miniature I've ever seen :-)
LOL! A convent eh? Well I suppose they're always on the lookout for recruits ;-) By that logic at least one of mine should marry a rabbi *g*

I think a couple of those tiny, um, couples, are from dollhouse!Jack and dollhouse!Daniel’s own little dollhouse. Every dollhouse needs its own little dollhouse, after all. :)
Sense, making, not! *g*
I also keep forgetting to comment on your awesome banner. It's wonderful! I'm just hoping to one day figure how to get a pic on my lj. You are quite the talented one. :)

*g* I think the mini cruising spot would totally appeal to them! And actually, your comment made *perfect* sense to me :-D
I can't take credit for the banner: it's the work of

*looks at minis and falls off chair at the last one* That one with the bunny is a perfect metaphor for my plot bunnies. *snickers*

The more I look at those scenes, the more I love love LOVE them - though I have to say the plot bunny metaphor didn't strike me *g*. Apt though!

*g* First damn thing I though of was a plot bunny, because mine loom over me like that, threatening to kill me. :-p
