catspawMy god, has this been a week, or has this been a week.
Came home to find tumble dryer knackered - 'honestly, mum, the door just came off in my hand' - yeah, suuuure it did - but luckily, dryer is insured. Easily put right :-)
Came home to find washing machine dead. Really, really dead. Washing machine is not insured. New machine arrives on Wednesday coming, laundry piles up alarmingly in interim. So, (comparatively) easily put right but costs an arm and a leg. And costs a great deal of effort meantime and swearing when the new machine finally arrives and is working. Crikey moses, nine loads and counting :-(
And to top it off, MIL ends up in hospital: silly accident with a folding chair, result MIL - 0, folding chair - 3 (at least). Asked to describe damaged finger, MIL describes it as 'pulp'.

Not that I'm not used to arriving somewhere where my luggage isn't, but normally that happens in this direction rather than the outbound trip. Maybe they'll have their shit together in three weeks' time.
::facepalm:: What was I thinking? This is BA we're talking about here...
