Whee! My new washing machine finally arrived this morning :-))) Two of the most uncooperative delivery men on the planet pitched up at about 10.30. Big black mark against me: I live upstairs. Well, it's your job, boys, cope. So, they took away the old machine, right enough, but left me with the new one sitting in the middle of my very small kitchen. Of course, I'm on my own in the house - all able bodied men unavailable, out being able bodied for pay :-(

I was looking at the instructions and thinking to myself - how hard can it be to get this thing plumbed in and working? Well, the answer turns out to be -- not hard at all! 'Course it took me a while, but the instructions are written for idiots (which I'm not, altogether, when it comes to practical stuff and messing around with spanners and screwdrivers), and now, my new machine is purring away, doing its first of many loads in its new home, and is watertight at both inlet and outlet :-))

'Course, it's still not in its right place - shifting it myself comes under the 'why keep dogs and bark yourself' category of expended effort - although it's not quite in the middle of the kitchen any more thanks to judicious use of lube** and a little bit of effort *g*.


**Furniture polish, smutminds. What, you think I was going to waste the good stuff? LOL

But if anyone had told me oh, say, 30 years ago, that one day I'd get orgasmic over a new washing machine...

LOL! I knew when I was putting washing machines and orgasms in the same sentence, it was coming out wrong!

No no no, it came out exactly right. ::laughs and laughs:: I mean, either way it's orgasmic -- washing machine as sex aid sounds perfectly reasonable (and fun!) to me, and really it can be just that wonderful to get a brand-new appliance, especially when you personally triumph over the hook-up process. Plus, you know, clean stuff! Mmmmm!

The clean stuff is a definite bonus - after just over a week, neighbours were starting to cross the street rather than walk past us *g*

I shall try out this washing machine as sex aid lark - although I suspect that as for so much else in life, I'll be rather too much on the short side to make it work :-(
