catspawThere are many things for which life is too short. Top of the list today? Peeling what feels like one metric tonne of tomatoes - *cherry* tomatoes mark you - preparatory to smooshing them (technical term) and freezing them.
Damn this glut nonsense :-((( And damn all those cookery writers who'd have you believe that all you have to do is pop them in boiling water for a couple of seconds to get them slipping out of their jackets like eager little hookers. They lie, they lie like rugs. Bah humbug :-(
