Because
sharp2799 asked, and because
slb_44's garden looks so pretty *g*. And also because my computer desk is tidy YAY!
B'day flowers from The Man, bless him :-) I love getting flowers! Also MsB? The Avalon chalice is standing on the fireplace next to the flowers, slightly behind the pussy cat.

Next, aforesaid tidy desk ::is proud::

And four random pictures of the front garden.

Date: 2007-05-26 07:10 pm (UTC)Happy Birthday hon.
The flowers are lovely.
Wow! Your garden is waaaay ahead of mine. The first irises are just showing buds and the early clematis are barely open. Of course the whacko weather we've been having probably doesn't help any.
On the other hand you should see the Japanese Tree Peonies. Absolutely spectacular.

Date: 2007-05-26 07:16 pm (UTC)Our weather's whacked too - I'm surprised anything has bothered to come out this year quite frankly :-( Warm, cold, warm again, cold again - if I was a plant, I wouldn't bother.
Also thanks for the b'day wishes :-)

Date: 2007-05-26 07:20 pm (UTC)So it's not just us? It really is global warming? Bummer.
You're welcome, sorry I miss it. Since they took away myLJ I keep doing that. I must start a list somewhere.

And if this is global warming, I'm telling you, it's been seriously mis-sold to us. Nothing warm OR warming about it, just rain, wind and cold :-(

It's the same here. Either abnormally cold for the most part but we just had a deadly three day heat wave with horrible air pollution readings and now back into the grey, coolness. The forecast says a couple more days of this and then back into the miserable heat etc. Add to that very little rain. It rains all around us but not here. I think we're turning into a desert.

It'll come up, providing you're signed in all the time and it recognizes you, then it brings up your page. :)

Date: 2007-05-29 06:44 am (UTC)But now, I'm curious - ignorant too, but that's a given *g* - does your garden thrive better in the winter? See, this is where the ignorance kicks in regarding your climate. I have no idea how cool it gets over there during the winter, nor how much daylight you get, etc. I'm afraid my knowledge is based on Neighbours being on telly around about teatime and the kids watching it while waiting for the calories to appear *g* - so strictly absorption from the background. And the only thing that has 'stuck' from that was one time seeing the cast wearing jerseys and commenting it was chilly - at 60F or so. Which would have everyone out in t-shirts over here ;-)

Date: 2007-05-29 11:56 pm (UTC)We have frosts that are as low as -6 Celsius so that cuts down on the number of blooms we can have then. There are some winter bulbs, plus camellias and rhododendrons I suppose but the garden usually goes into hibernation. I have fruit trees and a few other deciduous trees so they're all bare and cold.

Date: 2007-05-30 07:22 am (UTC)Good lord, you really get the worst of both worlds, don't you? (((Tilley))) The gardening conditions from hell :-(((
