So

I did that 'how wierd are you?' meme and the answer basically came out, 'duh! Ditchwater, baybee!'

Which got my wild up and I immediately thought, 'Ill show you, LJ..' while I shook my fist in the air...

Dolls' houses are one of my 'things'. Love 'em, am busy building one and making all the little bitty things that make a dolls' house a dolls' home. My house, of *course*, is occupied by a couple of guys. These guys, of *course*, have a shoebox tucked at the back of the wardrobe. Here are the contents (penny added for scale, and it's roughly the same size as a US penny):

The black one is for when they're feeling particularly ambitious LOL

Read, weep, and inwardly digest, LJ! Then get back to me and tell me I'm dull as ditchwater...

Clearly the UK has more interesting doll house stores than we have over here! My current doll house has bears. They have NOTHING like this in their closet. Okay, they have an armoire not a closet but still...

::is impressed::

[identity profile] catspaw-sgjd.livejournal.com 2007-06-06 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Bears, eh? Are they in need of sex aids? LOL

And what about some pictures? I'm dolls' house daft, I'd like to see some pictures :-)

O dear lord :-0 Man, I needed that laugh. And now I want to know where on earth you found those.

[identity profile] catspaw-sgjd.livejournal.com 2007-06-06 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Didn't find 'em - made 'em. And there's another image to get you giggling: me, sitting hunched over a craft mat at the dining room table, glasses perched on nose, earnestly making dolls'-house-doll-sized butt plugs out of Fimo ;-)

Hehe, kink toys in miniature. Need to find me some of those!

Hmmm. I wonder if there'd be a market on ebay?

*falls out of chair*

You're a love, you are. And never, ever, dull. :)

My test said my writing was conventional and that I'm mostly ordinary. *blinks*

[identity profile] catspaw-sgjd.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 07:23 am (UTC)(link)
Pretty much what mine said too! I think the stupid thing only has one setting, most of the others I've seen around say much the same :-(

These are too wonderful. I wanted to post a picture of my erotic oddities collection, which I leave out on a shelf in my room (because I'm pretty sure my parents will never come to my house), including the Boner Baby plush toy with the enormous dong, and the Mardi Gras beads with the little plastic penises. If you squeeze the little balls, a gelatinous white string comes out the end. I do not lie. ;)

But I couldn't figure out how to post a picture into the comments field. :}

Oh, if I only had some teeny tiny sex toys!

[identity profile] catspaw-sgjd.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 07:27 am (UTC)(link)
'Gelatinous white string'? You couldn't make it up... Bwahahahahaa! What a hoot!

You should post the pics on your own lj if you can't get them onto mine :-)

I must be getting dull in my old age. I thought "Why do Cats' dolls play chess?" Then the penny dropped.

[identity profile] catspaw-sgjd.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 07:30 am (UTC)(link)
LOL! And what an excellent defence! 'They're chess pieces, m'lud, honest' *gg* I'll try that one on the kids if/when they find them ;-)

[identity profile] sharp2799.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
ROTFLMFAO!!!!!!!

OMG, you could SO sell these!!

[identity profile] sharp2799.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
This cracked me up so much I want to add it to my memories. Is that okay?

[identity profile] carron.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
I would wear a charm bracelet if you would make charms like this for it.

You. Are. D'man! erm You know what I mean.

[identity profile] catspaw-sgjd.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 07:54 am (UTC)(link)
Damn, if I was a goldsmith I'd SO make these as charms - there has to be a market for them somewhere, doesn't there? And the swirly one would look so pretty in gold, it would twinkle most engagingly :-D

Meme 0 - Cats 583.
You win!!
And I think I must've ruptured something.
Ditchwater is very proud of you, btw. ::bg::

[identity profile] catspaw-sgjd.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 08:09 am (UTC)(link)
::bows:: I'd like to thank my mum, my agent... and above all, Ditchwater, for having faith... *g*

Sorry about the rupture though ::passes truss::

[identity profile] feather-autant.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 06:27 am (UTC)(link)
You made then! *bounces*

I've got a picture in my head of the scandalous looks your family gave you when you were making those. *g*

[identity profile] catspaw-sgjd.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 08:16 am (UTC)(link)
*g* I'm not daft - I made them when I was alone ;-) A. thinks they're a hoot though - or did before he panicked about the kids finding them LOL

Next up: hospital-style restraints and lube ;-)

[identity profile] historyterry.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 08:16 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, that's fabulous! I 'came out' as 50% ordinary and 7% weird with that darned survey, too, so go figure.

Oh, god, can you make me some of those to replace my ear studs?

[identity profile] catspaw-sgjd.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 08:18 am (UTC)(link)
Be careful what you wish for... *gg*

[identity profile] perfica.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 10:47 am (UTC)(link)
ROFLMAO.

You filthy thing, you ;-)

[identity profile] catspaw-sgjd.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 11:13 am (UTC)(link)
Filthy, moi? ::raises eyebrow::

Oh wait, I see your point.

;-)

[identity profile] blue-adagio.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
You are simply the best. :) Please don't ever, ever change!

How many hours did it take you to make them, though?

[identity profile] catspaw-sgjd.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 09:40 pm (UTC)(link)
*g* Thanks! Actually, surprisingly, not that long really. The first couple were complete duds until I worked out how to get the flanges on without them crumpling and after that - maybe an hour and a half inlcuding the baking process and varnishing them. So not a bad investment of time, considering all the fun they've given!

[identity profile] msbeata.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm almost afraid to ask where you got those/if you made them.

But I AM impressed. Very impressed, especially by the spiral one.

[identity profile] msbeata.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Read the comments so I know you made them.

I do think you could sell them. I'd like the colored ones better than gold though. Obviously teeny tiny sex toys need to be realistic. *g*

love the toys

[identity profile] bearon68.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 10:49 pm (UTC)(link)
WHERE DID YOU GET THEM?

Re: love the toys

[identity profile] catspaw-sgjd.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks. I made 'em out of fimo and my boys were very grateful ;-) Somehow I don't think I'll be posting them on the dolls house lists though *gg*

Seriously good job on your studio! There was a good lot of work in that :-)

[identity profile] starting-gate.livejournal.com 2007-06-08 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
*peeks in*

I have my own dollhouse I’m decorating! I thought I was the only creative mature adult who did this. Thanks to you, my interest has taken on a whole new and better meaning! Now I have to redecorate it for Jack and Daniel.

So. When are you going to make the anatomically correct ... guys? :)

[identity profile] catspaw-sgjd.livejournal.com 2007-06-08 06:46 am (UTC)(link)
Yay, another mini lover :-D And my dolls house has always been on the cards with Jack and Daniel in mind LOL.
:-) Nice to see you!

Funny you should ask about making the guys, I've been thinking more and more recently that it'll possibly come down to that, I can't find two different mass produced male dolls *anywhere* that appeal to me and that I can afford :-( (I did find one doll that I liked, but that would mean the guys would be twins and that would be plain freaky *g*) I'm not that confident about doll making though, having done some reading around the subject.

So, what style is your house? And is it standard 1:12 or are you going smaller?

Those are awesome! Totally cute and totally real-looking -- you did an amazing job making them. I'm so sorry I missed this when you posted! [livejournal.com profile] msbeata just pointed me over here, and I'm really glad she did. ::laughs and laughs and is delighted::

[identity profile] catspaw-sgjd.livejournal.com 2007-06-14 03:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you :-) They were a lot of fun to make - so much so that there are a couple of other (not totally unrelated) projects in the works at the moment. Watch this space *g*

Hee! I'm glad they made you smile :-D

[identity profile] kuonji14.livejournal.com 2007-06-15 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. My. God.

Followed the link from here (http://jd-commentfic.livejournal.com/1328.html?thread=10288#t10288), where your post was described as 'cute'. Am laughing So Hard right now! Great job!

[identity profile] catspaw-sgjd.livejournal.com 2007-06-15 11:15 am (UTC)(link)
Hee! Thank you :-) So glad it gave you a giggle - there's nowhere near enough laughs on lj right now. (Although maybe I'm looking in all the wrong places)

[identity profile] spacemonkeyphd2.livejournal.com 2007-06-21 04:00 pm (UTC)(link)
LMAO I love these!!! Oddly enough my daughter's doll house has nothing like this, nor does my mother's. Hmm maybe for 21st birthday pressie?

You could definately sell those on ebay, if not as keyrings at Erotica or somesuch place. :)

Whare in the UK are you from, does the madness reach as far as you? (I'm on the south east coast)

[identity profile] catspaw-sgjd.livejournal.com 2007-06-21 08:35 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL! What a brilliant idea for a 21st present :-) And yay! Another dolls house enthusiast - this post does seem to have flushed a few of them out ;-)

I'm glad they gave you a chuckle. I've actually got another 'little' project on the go at the minute, very nearly complete - I'll hopefully be posting about it tomorrow or Saturday, watch this space if you're interested *g*

And I'm currently in Edinburgh, though I was born and brought up in the south east - the Surrey part of Greater London actually. Ah, memories of the south east coast on Bank Holidays LOL

[identity profile] dieastra.livejournal.com 2009-04-07 11:11 am (UTC)(link)
It is indeed amazing what you are able to make out of good ol' FIMO. I only have managed a ketchup and mustard bottle plus WACKO-face on a plate so far. If you don't yet know the pictures we did about the episode "Window of opportunity", you can find them here:

http://dieastra.livejournal.com/

Actually, my stuff is called Suralin, and it's back from my childhood days in Eastern Germany. I imagine you need a sharp eye and a steady hand (and the right ideas of course!) to pull off something like yours, very well done! If there was no scale one could think it's the real thing.

You see me truly fascinated!

[identity profile] catspaw-sgjd.livejournal.com 2009-04-07 06:59 pm (UTC)(link)
ROFL! Your WoO scenes are *brilliant*! And Sam making snow angels is totally cracking me up ;-)

I'm totally flattered by your 'real thing' comment: but actually, fimo is very easy to work with, and butt plus are a *very* easy shape *g* - just a ball rolled off-centre to make a cone and the neck and flange added after. Try it! You know you want to... LOL
